Overview
Say I Refuse to Translate reimagines translation as an artistic and political practice rooted in care, resistance, and agency. Drawing from encounters with street art and poetry, and inspired by poets and translators such as Don Mee Choi and Sawako Nakayasu, this workshop invites participants to engage with translation as a lived practice—one that can express refusal as survival, reclamation, and imagination.
The session unfolds in two parts, moving from a listening-focused presentation toward active collective exploration.
