On 1st February 2026, poet and literary translator Nisrine Mbarki Ben Ayad was appointed Dichter der Nederlanden, Poet Laureate of the Netherlands. It was an immense privilege to host the ceremony in the Amstelkerk in the heart of Amsterdam.
